Celebrating Graduation and New Beginnings at UCM
Jackson’s cap and gown session at the University of Central Missouri was the perfect way to celebrate such an exciting milestone. It was a beautiful day on campus, and the energy of graduation season made everything feel even more meaningful. Sessions like this are always special, but this one stood out because of how personal each stop along the way was.
We started at the University of Central Missouri sign, capturing those classic graduation photos that mark the moment. From there, we walked over to the Administration Building, where the architecture created such a strong and timeless backdrop. Each location gave us something different, but what made it even better was hearing Jackson talk about his time at UCM as we moved from place to place.
One of my favorite parts of the session was when we sat in the courtyard. Jackson shared stories about the campus, pointing out buildings and memories tied to each one. Those moments made the session feel less like a photoshoot and more like documenting a chapter of his life. We then made our way to the Technical Building, which held special meaning for him since it’s where he had his first job. Capturing photos there added a deeper layer to the session; it wasn’t just about graduation, it was about the journey that got him there.
We wrapped up at the Crossing Apartments, taking photos on the stairs and soaking in the last few moments of the session. By the end of our time together, it felt like I had gotten to know Jackson well, even in just 30 minutes. He brought such a calm confidence and genuine personality that made every photo feel natural and effortless.
Jackson is graduating as an aviation technician and will be starting his internship at the airport in Kansas City, which is such an exciting next step. Sessions like this are about more than just cap and gown photos; they’re about celebrating accomplishments and looking ahead to what’s next.
Jackson’s session was the perfect way to mark this milestone, and I’m wishing him nothing but success as he steps into this next chapter.
