Sunshine, Laughter, and Joy with the Triplett Family
Every once in a while, a photo session feels effortless from start to finish and that’s exactly how it felt working with the Triplett family. From the very first moment, their warmth, laughter, and connection set the tone for a beautiful evening filled with genuine smiles and easy conversation.
We began the session at Marr Park in Warrensburg, Missouri, surrounded by open space, soft greenery, and light that filtered gently through the trees. The relaxed atmosphere gave everyone time to settle in and enjoy the moment. The mom, the heart of this family, was radiant. Her husband, daughter, the daughter’s significant other, her granddaughter, and her son all brought their own joyful energy, creating a dynamic that was both fun and full of love.
After capturing some playful and heartfelt moments at Marr Park, we made our way to Hazel Hill Farm in Centerview, Missouri, just in time to catch the glow leading up to sunset. The sky had started to soften, wrapping everything in a warm golden hue that made each photo feel timeless. The Tripletts chose this second location specifically for its evening light, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Though we finished just before sunset, the light was at that perfect golden-hour sweet spot; soft, flattering, and full of warmth.
Throughout the session, I couldn’t help but notice how happy this family was. There’s a saying I love: you can either be a fountain or a drain. The Tripletts were definitely fountains; overflowing with joy, positivity, and the kind of energy that lifts everyone around them. Every laugh, every hug, every shared look reflected the genuine bond they share.
Sessions like this are why I love being a family photographer in Warrensburg. It’s about so much more than taking pictures, it’s about preserving moments that remind us what happiness truly looks like.
